Japanese ancient language "Izure Ayame ka Kakitsubata"
Two types of Shippo Gosu

In English, "either way siberian iris or water iris." This term means "so beautiful that it is hard to tell the difference."

Fujitsubo no Miya is a beautiful woman who looks exactly like Kiritsubo Sarai. After the death of Kiritsubo, she entered the court as a substitute, but in reality she was a different person, no matter how much she resembled her.

I wonder how much pain Fujitsubo must have felt in her heart.

She must have felt a tremendous sense of emptiness. At first, I thought, "But, even if they look alike, is that enough for the emperor to love a person? Is it that simple? Or is it love or a sense of mission to support the emperor despite everything? This may be the way of life of Fujitsubo no Miya, who is in charge of motherhood and warm feelings in The Tale of Genji.

I am sure that I would make the same choice as Fujitsubo. By the way, the iris is my birth flower.
