“TAMURA-SHIPPO Art Exhibition – Radiance and Color”

[Announcement]

We are thrilled to announce the first-ever “Tamura Cloisonné Art Exhibition” since the founding of Tamura Cloisonné Art in 1883! Although we have held numerous solo exhibitions and displayed our works in museums over the years, this will be the first time in nearly 140 years that we are presenting a comprehensive exhibition of our historical works.

While the works of the first and second generations are mostly overseas and not in our possession, we will be exhibiting designs from the first generation, photos of the first and second generations, and many pieces from the third generation onwards. The exhibition will be held in Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture.

It’s a wonderful location. The exhibition will be held in autumn in Suzaka City, which is known as the Kingdom of Fruits, so I’m looking forward to enjoying plenty of grapes while preparing for this event, which we’ve been working on since last year. Suzaka City is adjacent to Obuse and Nagano Cities. It’s a very pleasant place with a beautiful museum.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who proposed the idea of inviting artists and organizing this exhibition, the World Folk Doll Museum staff who researched and extended the offer to us, Mr. Chi-Hyun Ryu who contributed with graphic design, and many others who have supported us in making this event happen.

With just a little time left until the opening, we are incredibly excited. The announcement is finally out!
